Mana Movement

A transformative collective focused on empowerment through indigenous wisdom and modern healing practices.

The Mana Movement is an organization that embodies a commitment to reawakening individual potential and fostering a deeper connection to the natural world through a blend of modern psychological insights and ancient indigenous wisdom. Established by Chrissie Fire Mane, Juan de Dios Kucho, Zebiah Lion Heart, and Ita Morrissey, the movement is driven by a powerful mission to bring people back to life by unlocking their inner power and potential.

Founding and Philosophy

At its core, the Mana Movement is guided by the belief that everyone possesses an innate capacity for creation and transformation. This ethos is reflected in the diverse backgrounds and spiritual journeys of its founders. Chrissie Fire Mane, with a rich history in activism, shamanic psychotherapy, and artistic expression, brings a unique blend of conscious motherhood and indigenous tradition to the movement. Her leadership is complemented by Juan de Dios Kucho, an Andean shaman from Machu Picchu, whose spiritual practices aim to elevate humanity’s cosmic consciousness.

Zebiah Lion Heart, another co-founder, is a medicine woman dedicated to elemental worship and the revival of ancient listening practices. Her work is deeply interwoven with various spiritual traditions, including the Tibetan Dzogchen and Western African Banakuma teachings. Ita Morrissey, the founding pillar of Mana Human Relations, integrates her experience as a socially-engaged theatre artist to create spaces that encourage natural, creative expression.

Activities and Offerings

The Mana Movement organizes restorative and transformational events in picturesque locations across Australia and around the globe, catering to adults, families, and youth. These gatherings are designed not only to provide enlightenment but to teach practical ways of transforming life’s challenges into sources of strength and joy. The movement offers online courses and workshops, enabling participants to deepen their connections and sharpen their tools for personal growth.

A notable offering is the Zora Women’s Sailing Retreat in Croatia, a unique experience that combines the adventure of sailing with spiritual and healing practices. This retreat emphasizes the rewilding of women through modern and indigenous wisdom, facilitated by activities like shamanic drum journeys, fire ceremonies, and vocal channeling experiences.

Impact and Vision

The Mana Movement’s vision is to activate and rewild humanity, reminding individuals of their inherent truths and abilities that may have been forgotten or suppressed. By drawing on conscious motherhood and indigenous traditions, the founders aim to inspire their community to reconnect with the natural essence of life.

Through its diverse array of programs and retreats, the Mana Movement creates a space for deep personal transformation, healing, and connection. It stands as a testament to the power of blending modern healing practices with the wisdom of ancient traditions, aiming to empower individuals to become creators of their own lives.
