Sherry Shriner, a self-proclaimed “Servant, Prophet, Ambassador, Daughter, and Messenger of the Highest God,” led a controversial online group characterized by its belief in alien reptilian conspiracies. Born in Ohio, Shriner grew to prominence on social media by promoting a blend of Christian eschatology and bizarre theories involving reptilian aliens, demons, and orgone—a pseudoscientific substance she claimed could combat supernatural forces. Her teachings, disseminated through numerous websites, YouTube videos, and self-published books, attracted thousands of followers worldwide.

Shriner’s beliefs were deeply unorthodox, suggesting that high-profile figures like Queen Elizabeth II and Barack Obama were shapeshifting lizards, agents of an impending one-world government orchestrated by alien overlords. She maintained that this sinister coalition aimed to dominate the world, a narrative she bolstered by selling orgone pendants online, which she claimed offered protection against these supernatural entities.

The influence of Shriner’s teachings had tragic outcomes, including the 2017 death of Steven Mineo. Mineo was allegedly killed by his girlfriend, Barbara Rogers, in Pennsylvania after their relationship with the cult soured. Rogers, who was later convicted of third-degree murder, claimed that Mineo had instructed her to shoot him following conflicts within the cult that led to their estrangement. Shriner had accused Rogers of being a “Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier,” intensifying internal group tensions that ultimately led to Mineo’s death.

Shriner died in 2018 from a heart attack, leaving behind a complicated legacy marked by her controversial beliefs and the dangerous impact they had on her followers. Her life and the chilling events surrounding her cult have been the subject of various media analyses, highlighting the dark intersections of internet culture and extremist beliefs.
